Videographer/Video Editor Internship
Position: Videographer/Video Editor Intern, Unpaid Co-op
Reports to: Director of International Relations
Location: Based in Toronto, ON
The Internship Criteria
Self-motivated individual with great skills in Research and Information Quality Analysis
Familiar with Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel (Video editor software is a must)
Good communication skills
About Aventure Music Group
Our parent company is a Venture Capital, Private Equity firm in Wall Street, New York. Our businesses include: Group of Labels, Artist Management and Rights Collection, Production, Publishing. Through various labels, we have distributed approximately 7,000 tracks over the years. We manage multiple record labels, music publishing operations, DJs and singers, distribution, photo / video as well as recording studios and a Booking / Events department.
Responsibilities
Videographer and / or Video Editor
Produce and edit all company videos to reach best quality of company
standards
Compile current clips and create a final product of shots from raw camera footage
Monitor and revise dialogue, sound effects and graphics
On occasion travel to various destinations to film
Provide creative ideas for video footage and provide solutions to improve quality of the final piece
Create and maintain in-house video library
Work closely with Marketing Team to bring forward company brand in each video
Requirements
You must have previously filmed an Artist during shows OR You must have previously edited raw footage from a live performance
You must have experience with digital non-linear editing software
You must know various analog, digital output and storage formats
You must be able to manage multiple projects
You must own a laptop
You must have a strong professional ethics and a commitment to confidentiality
You must be fluent in English (other languages are a plus) and have excellent verbal and written communication skills
You must have a good knowledge of clubbing culture, the electronic music scene and a good understanding of the music industry in general
You must show a particular interest in Dance Music
You must be able to work alone as well as part of a team
You must be organized and able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
