Description:

Alfred Publishing, a world leading print music publisher, seeks a Marketing Coordinator to work in our School/Church product line team, which specializes in Band, Instrumental and Choral music. This position will be responsible for event planning and coordination (these events are mainly author clinics). MUSIC KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION OR TRAINING IS A MUST. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be extremely detail oriented, organized, resourceful, and self-motivated. This is a full-time regular position, and includes Alfred's generous benefit package (see below job description for details). Alfred was established in 1922 and is still a family-owned business. PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE OF: Professional knowledge of marketing concepts and methodology; basic PC applications including Microsoft Word and Excel; proper English usage, grammar and punctuation; fundamental music concepts; music, music education and / or music business equivalent to that of a bachelor?s degree; event planning experience is preferable. FileMaker and basic HTML experience is preferred.

ABILITY TO: Professionally communicate, both within and outside of the company, to maintain effective relationships, balance assertiveness and tact with diplomacy; determine priorities, organize time and set and adjust work priorities to achieve multiple goals and ensure task follow-through; work cooperatively in a highly cross-trained team environment; consistently take initiative to improve marketing skills and industry knowledge; troubleshoot and use creativity to solve problems; improve systems and strategies to increase production; travel (via air) 1-3 times per year; occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
